About Maximum Impact
Foundation
Maximum Impact Foundation
Inc, a 501(C)3 formed in 2002 with the
mission to provide the "Maximum Impact" on the lives of the poor and
unfortunate from its assets of time, talent and material resources. MIF focuses on the needs of people from the hill country of
the Mexico
border area to the
streets of Los Angeles, along with many other areas as critical
needs arise. The foundation is an all-volunteer force,
including all directors and officers, and commits to 100%
utilization of every contribution. Financial records are always
available.
How has Maximum Impact made a
difference?

Food - MIF routinely
provides trucks to volunteers who pick up food from food banks
and deliver it to thousands of the needy in the Mexico border area
and the inner city of Los Angeles.
Larry D. had a small food ministry
outreach and dutifully loaded his van twice a week with products from
Los Angeles area food banks and drove to Tijuana where he would
provide food for 60-70 persons. Larry's strong commitment,
determination, and consistency were important factors for MIF
selecting
Larry to partner with. MIF was able to locate and purchase a
sixteen-foot truck for him, and with increased capacity Larry is now
able to feed 1,200-1,300 people every week on his own.
Suzy P. grew up homeless on the streets of South Korea.
Growing up almost
always hungry, she understands poor. Now, with a delivery truck purchased
by MIF, she loads it up with food from a S. California
food bank and makes weekly trips to feed the poor of the Mexico
border area.
Healthcare -
Pain and untreated ailments are a way of life in
Mexico where health insurance is unaffordable for most families. MIF
continually supports medical treatment and operations for people with
ailments ranging from cancer to bone fractures.
Jose, is a 13 year-old boy in Tijuana
Mexico who suffered a compound fracture
of his wrist and was left unattended for hours in a doctor's office
because the family had no insurance or money. MIF learned of the situation and was able to provide resources for
surgery, which led to his complete recovery.
Education - The goal of MIF is to
provide as many children as possible the opportunity to
attend school in the region of El Nino and Vista de Valle, Tijuana
Mexico area. Officials estimate 25% to 30% of the elementary aged children are
not attending school, primarily because their families lack money
for the $30 tuition, supplies, and in some cases required school
uniforms. The non-attendance percentages increase for high school
aged children
where the tuition costs are higher and uniforms are mandatory.
MIF provides two schools with computers and supplies,
has awarded our
first Mexico scholarship to a young girl now majoring in
international finance, has given tuition grants, and provides backpacks
filled with
school supplies and new shoes so that children can go to school
the right way.... with pride.
Jobs - MIF is
always looking to create self-sustaining families whenever possible. MIF has both short-term and long-term goals to provide employment
opportunities in the eastern Tijuana region. Short-term employment
increased with the purchase of 13 sewing machines for mothers and
single women who now provide clothing for their families. Some
have started small businesses and sell to others, including discounted
school uniforms. Other exciting job-creating plans are in process.
Churches - Local
church pastors are influential leaders in their communities. MIF
supports and provides for these leaders in many ways including:
-
Food outreach through the
churches.
-
Shoes and clothing
through the churches.
-
Christmas toys through
the churches.
-
Bibles and Purpose
Driven Life books.
-
Medical outreach through
the pastors and churches.
Maximum Impact looks to the future!
The foundation's mission is to continue
its current programs, as well as expanding them by working with
"contributor-partners" with the common goal of making
a difference for the poor, the disadvantaged, the ailing, and most
importantly, the children.
