There is a story about a beach where
millions of starfish washed ashore. A boy was walking on that beach
and one by one was throwing them back in the sea. An old man came up
to him and asked "kid there are millions of starfish on this beach
and you're by yourself, you're never going to make a difference".
The boy looked at the old man, picked up another one and threw it
back in the ocean, then with a smile said, "I made a difference to
that one".
Maximum Impact Foundation (MIF),
like the boy on
the beach, will not eliminate poverty for a hill community in Mexico
nor solve the homeless problems in the inner city of Los Angeles.
But for some of those stranded on these human beaches of despair,
MIF is making a difference.
Because of MIF and its caring
contributors, many children have received medical help where there
was previously no hope, others an education, and thousands fed and
nourished where hunger was common.

receive no compensation, as MIF is a volunteer-only charity.
